Hill College HVAC program coordinator earns advanced certification

Hill College Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Program Coordinator Allen Dillman recently became one of three individuals to earn the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) Building Automation Systems (BAS) level II certification. 

To obtain the certification, Dillman attended a five-day training and education session through NC3 in Topeka, Kan., that completed with the certification test. 

“Everybody wins with this program: the student, the community and the industry,” Dillman said. “This will complement our curriculum and enhances the student experience. It has opened doors for students to become even more credentialed, which makes them more employable.”

Dillman will integrate the knowledge from the event into his advanced course curriculum, and students in those courses will be able to earn BAS I and II certifications.

“We are so proud of Mr. Dillman for devoting his time to earn this additional certification. This knowledge will be incorporated into our state-of-the-art curriculum and directly impact students for years to come,” said Dean of Career and Technical Education Dr. Kayla Kelly. 

Hill College is an NC3 Trane BAS Center of Excellence and an NC3 Trane Residential HVAC Lab. 

The Hill College HVAC Program offers comprehensive training in one of the fastest growing technical job markets.
